Recently, I enjoyed doing an interview over at Operation Awesome. They asked some interesting questions. Check it out and tell me what you think.
Snapshot Reviews: Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone
Often, I am the voyeur
of a story. I perch on the perimeter and watch everything unfold. There’s
nothing wrong with that. It’s quite fun actually. But once in a while a story
is so seamless, a character so realistic, I am drawn in deeply and forget that
it’s a work of someone’s imagination. I become fully immersed— breathing,
sighing, crying alongside the character. Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone is one of those novels. Stone has thoughtfully captured a young girl’s
struggle with high school life, made all the more complicated and anxiety
ridden by her OCD. This sense of authenticity, combined with a few twists and
turns, made this one unputdownable for me.
Making the Cut
There are many things I didn't anticipate when I published. One of them is how exciting it is when Cutting to the Chase is selected for a list. And it truly is. This week, I was selected to be part of Long and Short Reviews YA's monthly poll: Which book do you think is best based on the review? Amazing review and great fun. I've also been included on the list that Heroes and Heartbreakers generates each month: 9 Books H&H Reviewers Couldn't Put Down in May 2017. Many thanks to the reviewers and sites for the support.
What a terrific week! I hope yours has been equally satisfying. J
